On Monday, 28th of February the Election Commission [EC] board has announced to provide National Identity Card online. Because of the current pandemic of COVID-19, the in person transfer of NID is currently paused, but the EC board thinks that they can provide the NID online copy. The EC board gives you permission to download the soft copy of your NID and you can use that NID Online Copy at any official work throughout the whole area of Bangladesh. Those who have registered within 2nd March of 2024 will get the NID copy immediately. This NID copy service is for some specific groups as below:
- This online service for those who just newly registered to vote but did not get the NID yet.
- Those who lost their previous NID card can withdraw a new one (Online Copy).
- If you need any correction at NID data expect your signature.

NID Online Copy Download
There are two ways to get this NID Online Copy service. One is via SMS, and another one is through visiting the government official website- www.service.nidw.gov.bd. To get the service via SMS, you need to go to your message option and type NID<form No><dd-mm-yyyy> and send it to 105.
To get the service online just visit the website that linked here. You can ask for further details by calling at 105. To register or get any of the services you want to take, you need to be a citizen of the people republic of Bangladesh.

যারা ভোটার হওয়ার জন্য ছবি তুলেছেন কিন্তু এনআইডি পাননি, তারা ভোটার নিবন্ধন ফরমের স্লিপ নম্বর ব্যবহার করে এনআইডি কার্ডের সাময়িক (প্রভিশনাল) কপি সংগ্রহ করতে পারেন। অথবা আপনি যদি এনআইডি কার্ড হারিয়ে থাকেন, কিন্তু এনআইডি নম্বরটি যদি কোথাও লেখা থাকে তাহলেও আপনি এই পদ্ধতিতে জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র ডাউনলোড করার চেষ্টা করতে পারেন। সফল হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা আছে।
(আপনার নিকট যদি আপনার জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্রের নম্বর থেকে থাকে, তাহলে সরাসরি ২য় ধাপে যান। আর আপনি যদি এনআইডি কার্ডের জন্য ছবি তুলে থাকেন কিন্তু এখনো জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র পাননি, তাহলে এই ধাপ থেকেই শুরু করুন।) কম্পিউটার ব্রাউজারে প্রথমে এখানে যান https://services.nidw.gov.bd/voter_center এবং ভোটার নিবন্ধন ফরমের স্লিপ নম্বর, জন্ম তারিখ ও ক্যাপচা সঠিকভাবে পূরণ করে আপনার জাতীয় পরিচয় পত্রের নাম্বার সংগ্রহ করুন।
ক্যাপচা একবারে সঠিক না হলে একাধিক বার চেষ্টা করুন। মনে রাখবেন, সার্ভার বেশি ব্যাস্ত থাকলে রেজিস্ট্রেশন সফল হতে কিছুটা সময় লাগতে পারে।
এছাড়া মোবাইল থেকে এসএমএস করেও জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র নম্বর পেতে পারেন। যারা নতুন রেজিস্ট্রেশন করেছেন কিন্তু NID পাননি তারা খুব সহজেই NID নম্বর পেতে পারেন। এজন্য, মোবাইলের মেসেজ অপশনে গিয়ে লিখুন nid স্পেস দিয়ে ফরম নম্বর স্পেস দিয়ে জন্ম তারিখ (দিন-মাস-বছর)। মেসেজটি পাঠান ১০৫ নম্বরে। ফিরতি মেসেজে আপনি আপনার জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র নম্বর পাবেন।
