Rajshahi University Admission Requirements
Applicants who completed their HSC or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024 are eligible to apply. The minimum GPA requirements for different units are as follows:
A Unit (Arts, Law & Social Science)
- SSC/equivalent GPA: 3.00 (including the 4th subject)
- HSC/equivalent GPA: 3.00 (including the 4th subject)
- Total GPA: 7.00 (SSC + HSC)
B Unit (Business Studies)

RU Admission Test Method & Marks Distribution
From the 2024-2025 academic year, the RU admission test will follow a new format that includes both Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and a written examination. To qualify for the merit list, candidates must score at least 40 marks out of 100.

Seat Distribution for Quota Candidates
Rajshahi University provides special seat allocations for candidates from various quota categories:
- Indigenous Quota – 50 seats (maximum of 2 per subject)
- Physically Disabled Quota – 50 seats (maximum of 2 per subject)
- Freedom Fighter Quota – 5% of total seats per subject
- BKSP Quota – 20% of seats in the Physical Education & Science department
Final Application Requirements
Rajshahi University has released the preliminary selection result based on applicants’ HSC GPA scores. The GPA cutoffs for different categories are as follows:

For GCE level ‘O’ Concerned candidates have to pass in 5 subjects & level ‘A’ has to pass at least 2 subjects. Both of 2 levels Concerned candidates have to pass 7 subjects & have to get grade ‘B’ in 4 subjects & grade ‘C’ in 3 subjects. Their question will be made in English language if necessary.

বিঃদ্রঃ একই বিকাশ/রকেট নম্বর থেকে একাধিক প্রার্থীর প্রাথমিক আবেদনের ফি প্রদানের ক্ষেত্রে প্রত্যেক পেমেন্টের মাঝখানে অবশ্যই পাঁচ মিনিট অপেক্ষা করতে হবে।
বিঃদ্রঃ ফি প্রদানের পরবর্তী ২ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে সংশ্লিষ্ট তথ্য ওয়েবসাইটে আপডেট না হলে Complain Box-এ ফি প্রদানের সময় পাওয়া SMS-টি সহ Complain করতে হবে।
Note: those candidates are interested to attend unit ‘A’ (Dramatics, fine arts, music) they have to participating practical test after completing MCQ exam. Without Unit ‘B’ exam will held in 100 & pass mark will 40. Only Unit ‘B’ candidates have to attend 80 marks MCQ & 20 marks written.
