  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Egg – 4
  • Butter – 25 gm

How To Cook Pudding


At first, we need to make a caramel for the pudding. For the caramel, take ½ cup sugar in a pot and place it onto the oven on medium heat. But, don’t add any water into the sugar. Otherwise, it will start to dissolve and the caramel will not form.

Soon, the sugar will start to melt and change color. Once it becomes brown in color, remove the pot from the heat.

After that, make the pudding mixture. Pour the milk into a jar and add sugar to it.  Stir the mixture with a whisk and make sure all the sugar dissolves properly. Once the sugar is dissolved, crack the eggs and add them to the milk and sugar mixture. Stir them well until everything mixes together and becomes smooth and silky. You can also add vanilla essence to the mixture if you want.

Then, rub some butter inside the pudding mold or pot so that the pudding can be easily removed. Once it is done, pour the caramel into the pot and roll it to spread evenly. Then, add the milk, sugar, and egg mixture into the pot.

After that, cover the pot with a lid and place it inside another pot half-filled with water. You can also put this in a pressure cooker or bake in a microwave oven. Cook the mixture over medium heat for about 20 minutes.

You can check whether the pudding is done with a toothpick. Poke the pudding with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, it means pudding is done. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool. Once the pudding is cooled, flip it onto a plate so that the pudding is nice and clean.

You can have it this way or let it cool inside the refrigerator for 30 minutes. After that, cut the pudding into your favorite sizes and serve.
