Some 2,730 new educational institutions have been enlisted under the monthly pay order (MPO) scheme across Bangladesh as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina disclosed the names of the newly enlisted institutes.
Earlier, in 2019, the government announced to include over 2,700 educational institutions in the MPO list.
Among the new MPO beneficiaries are 666 lower secondary schools, 1122 secondary schools, 136 higher secondary schools, 109 higher secondary colleges and 18 degree colleges. The new MPO list also includes some 665 educational institutions under the vocational and madrassa education board.
New MPO List 2025
These are 97 SSC vocational or Dakhil vocational, 200 SSC business management and technology, two diploma in agriculture, 264 Dakhil Madrassa, 85 Alerm Madrassa, six Farazi Madrassa and 11 Kamil Madrassa.
The fresh MPO List July 2025 was published from an event at the prime minister’s official residence Ganabhaban. In 2010, a total of 1,624 educational institutions were brought under the MPO scheme. After that, the enlisting was closed down for a long time leading to protests by teachers and staff.
A long-nine-year wait of the teachers and employees of schools and colleges run under the governing body is coming to an end today as the government is going to announce formally that it would bring many new educational institutions under the Monthly Payment Order (MPO).

Bangladesh Teachers and other employees of nongovernmental schools and colleges under the MPO. Scheme receive a portion of their salary from the government.
Educational institutions are enlisted on merit. The qualified teachers of those institutions then come under the MPO scheme on the basis of fulfilling certain conditions.
