Over the last summer break, our school was closed for ten days. My uncle is living in Sylhet. He came home on his leave. I asked him to take me back to Sylhet so I could travel and go sight-seeing on the lovely green hills. He agreed to take me to Sylhet with him and we decided to travel by a train.
The journey started with the loud whistles of the train and it slowly started moving. My mind was overflowing with joy. The train was moving along with its iconic ‘Jhik Jhik’ rhythm. I looked out through the glass. It even crossed a bridge across a river with a clattering noise. The passengers were talking inside the train and the hawkers were selling their goods.
Yet out there was the wonder of nature all around. I was delighted to see the huge fields of paddy. There were often domestic animals like cows and goats in the fields. There were even some children running around once in a while. It was afternoon by the time we reached our destination. Then we went out of the train and out of the station.
