The entry test for first year honours programmes under Jahangirnagar University (JU) for 2024-2025 academic session will begin 9th February and continue till 17th February 2025. According to the schedule, the test for A unit (Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences) will be held 11th & 12th February 2025.
A total of 3,06,274 students will appear in the tests under six faculties and three institutes and compete for 1,889 seats, 97 seats less than last year’s. Now 3,22,946 applicants apply for about 2,000 seats. This year, as many as 162 students will compete for each seat.

According to the examination schedule, the test of Unit A will be held on 22 February ; unit C on February 25; Unit D test on February 27 and 28; Unit B test on February 29 and tests of units E on February 29. All admission tests, except for C unit (Faculty of Arts and Humanities), will start at 9:00am and continue till 4:30pm.

JU A Unit Exam Topics & marks Distribution
Only students of Science can apply to this unit. Exam topics include: Physics, Chemistry, Math, Bengali, English, General Knowledge, IQ Substance -22, Chemistry-22, Math-22, Bangla-3, English-3, IQ-8 Total 80 marks will be held.
Number distribution:
Total Mark 100. Admission test 80 and GPA 20
The admission test will have 80 MCQ questions, each value is 1. That is, Total 80 marks will be MCQ Question within 55 minutes.
*** Extra 5 minutes will be given To complete the information rolls and other information in the answer sheet.
GPA Counting System
(HSC GPA x 2.5) + (SSC GPA x 1.5) = 20
For every wrong answer the question will be deducted from the number obtained from 0.20 and the side mark 27. If someone gets less than 27, then its serial will not come. And do not have to pass on any matter separately.
