CU A unit Result 2024 Published today. University of Chittagong ‘A’ unit (all departments of the Faculty of Science) admission test completed for academic session 2024. The admission test of “A” unit will be held on 02 March, 2024. There are, 33,588 students has participated in the admission test.
The Faculty of Science started its journey in 1969 with four departments namely: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics. New departments including Botany, Zoology, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology, Geography, Soil Science etc., and two institutes namely, Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences and Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries have been added over the years at par with the rapid burst in human knowledge to address national and global priorities besides accommodating the increasing number of students. CU A Unit Result 2024
In this KA unit total, 44,431 candidates applied against the 1214 seats. The unit coordinator, Dr Mahbubur Rahman, said this after the examination of unit A on Monday. About 86% percent of the students who took the admission test this year, 78% percent of the students took part in the unit last year.
Many admissions candidates come to University of Chittagong till deep night on Sunday. Talking to many of them, it was reported that almost all of them were on the train from Dhaka. In addition, pre-admission candidates stay in different halls of the campus.

Most of the exams will be arranged on campus, but “A” and “D” units’ exam will be also arranged in Hathazari Government University College. Last year, all exams were arranged in the university campus.
Chittagong University Admission Result
CU Vice Chancellor Shireen Akhtar said: “The maximum capacity for our A units is 22,000 to 23,000 in the exam halls, and since the number of applicants has exceeded this number, we are now arranging the exam in Hathazari Government University College, which is closest to this university.”
CU acting proctor Pranab Mitra told All Result BD: “All kinds of political and non-political banners and posters have been prohibited in the campus, and our specialized team and proctorial body will work to prevent any kind of feuds.”
