Education requirements
Generally admission requirements, rules and the availability of forms are published in the national dailies after the result of H.S.C (Higher-Secondary School Certificate) Examination. A certain number of students are given chance to sit for the admission test according to the G.P.A of SSC & H.S.C. result. The students of Open University can not apply in this university besides all other universities students can apply for admission.
- The applicant who have passed SSC or equivalent exam in 2018-2019.
- The applicant who have passed HSC or equivalent exam in 2020-2021.
- Applicant must get CGPA 3.00 out of CGPA 5.00 in SSC or equivalent exam and HSC or equivalent exam in Arts group and total 6.00.
- Applicant must get CGPA 3.00 out of CGPA 5.00 in SSC or equivalent exam and HSC or equivalent exam in Business group and total 6.50.
- Applicant must get CGPA 3.00 out of CGPA 5.00 in SSC or equivalent exam and HSC or equivalent exam in Science group and total 7.00.
- GCE passed 5 subjects in ‘O’ level and at least 2 subjects in ‘A’ level exam. Must be at both levels and at least B grade in 4 of the 7 subjects and you need to get at least C grade in 3 subjects. O Level A Level and English Version (National Curriculum). Applicants who have passed the examination will be translated into English, where applicable.
- Candidates who want to appear in the English Question Paper should be informed by email (admission@bsfmstu.ac.bd]) with their application ‘ID and mobile number’ dated on 30/10/2024.

Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science & Technology University (Bengali: বঙগমাতা শেখ ফজিলাতুন্নেছা মুজিব বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a government financed public university of Bangladesh. On 30 January 2024 in regular cabinet meeting, chaired by prime minister, agreed in principle to the Acts for the Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science & Technology University in Melandaha Upazila of Jamalpur District. At present, there are a total of 38 public universities in the country and the number will stand at 40 with the new two university.
