Last year in 40th BCS preliminary exam attended the exam more than 2 lakh candidates beside 1952 seats. 40th BCS Preliminary test exam was taken by MCQ 200 marks. The examination was held in different centers of country, Such as- Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet and Barisal all together the PSC official additional.
After the premier’s consent, the public administration ministry will give approval to the PSC to publish the circular of the 45th BCS examination, a ministry source said. An official of the ministry said the circular of the 38th BCS Exam Circular for recruitment of about 1,200 officials and teachers in various cadres is likely to be published in February.

It has been learnt that 200 officials would be recruited in the administration cadre, 20 in the foreign service cadre, 100 in the police service cadre, 225 in the health service cadre and 270 in the education cadre through the upcoming BCS examination.
Earlier, Syed Ashraful Islam, Minister-in-Charge of the Ministry of Public Administration, told parliament on November 17 last year that the circular of the 46th BCS would be published in November 2024. It may be mentioned that the PSC published a circular of the 46th BCS examination for recruitment of 2,135 officers and teachers on May 31 last year and took preliminary tests of the candidates on January 8 this year.
46th BCS Exam Circular 2024
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) will issue the circular for the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination to fill some 1,710 vacant posts of different cadres, said Syed Ashraful Islam, Minister-in-Charge of the Minister of Public Administration.
The PSC is set to take the viva voce of the successful candidates of written examination of the 40th BCS from January 31 onward, sources said. The PSC will recruit 2,042 officials under various cadres through the 38th BCS examination. The PSC published results of the 40th BCS examination through a recommendation of appointment of 1,259 officers under various cadres on August 29 last year.
