About Class 8 Scholarship Exam

Students will be given 2 types of scholarships. Talent Pool Scholarship and General Scholarship. An additional 30 minutes will be allocated for candidates with special needs. 50 percent of all scholarships will be reserved for boys and 50 percent for girls. However, if no eligible candidate is found in the prescribed quota, the student’s scholarship can be filled by the girl student and the girl student’s scholarship can be filled by the boy student.

If a student has been admitted to class 8 in another school by receiving a discharge certificate from the school, then he can be allowed to participate in the junior scholarship exam. In that case, the student’s name will be included in the list by considering the merit list in his previous educational institution.

On September 14, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board published the question paper type and number distribution of the Junior Scholarship Exam. It said that the Junior Scholarship Examination will be held in Bengali, English, Mathematics, Science and Bangladesh and World Identity. The examination will be conducted for a total of 400 marks, with 100 marks each in Bengali, English and Mathematics, 50 marks in Science and 50 marks in Bangladesh and World Identity. The duration of each examination will be 3 hours.

Special Instructions:

1. Students must enter the exam hall and sit in their seats 30 minutes before the exam starts.
2. The exam must be taken according to the time written on the question paper.
   • Science subject: 1 hour 30 minutes
   • Bangladesh & Global Studies: 1 hour 30 minutes

3. Students must collect their admit card from the head of their institution at least 7 days before the exam.
4. On the answer sheet (Form 0112), students must correctly write and fill circles for their roll number, registration number, subject code, etc. The answer sheet must not be folded in any case.
5. Students are allowed to use only a general scientific calculator approved by the board in the exam.
6. Except the center secretary, no one is allowed to bring mobile phones or any other electronic devices inside the exam center.

The exam is going to start from December 21. The exam routine has been published on September 23. According to the routine list, this exam will continue till December 24. The candidates have been asked to arrive at the center at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam and take their seats in the designated room. The exam of each subject will be held as per the time mentioned in the question paper.

The candidates will collect their admit cards from the head of their respective institutions at least seven days before the start of the exam. The candidates will fill in the circles by writing their exam roll number, registration number, subject code, etc. in the OMR form of their respective answer sheets. The answer sheets cannot be folded under any circumstances.

The candidates can use a general scientific calculator approved by the board in the exam. No person other than the Center Secretary will be allowed to bring any electronic device including mobile phones to the exam center. The authorities may change this schedule in case of special needs.

The online form filling will continue from October 5 to 9 and the last date for submitting the fee through Sonali Seva is October 12. The distribution and verification of the question papers will be done from October 26 to November 13. The question papers will be handed over to the representatives of the District Administrators between November 16 and 23.

The admit cards of the candidates will be published on the board’s website on December 10. The probable date of publishing the results has been set for January 31, 2026.
