১। পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন কি?

উত্তরঃ সাধারণত চাকুরী, পাসপোর্ট, লাইসেন্স বা অন্য কোনো প্রয়োজনীয় ক্ষেত্রে আবেদনকারী কর্তৃক প্রদত্ত তথ্যাদি সঠিক আছে কিনা তা পুলিশ কর্তৃক যাচাই করাকে ভেরিফিকেশন বা সত্যতা প্রতিপাদন বলে। ভেরিফিকেশনকালে প্রার্থীর প্রদত্ত তথ্যাদির সত্যতা যাচাইয়ের পাশাপাশি প্রার্থীর চারিত্রিক ও সামাজিক অবস্থান সম্পর্কেও তথ্য নেয়া হয়।

২। কোন কোন ক্ষেত্রে পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন হতে পারে?

উত্তরঃ (ক) সরকারি, আধাসরকারি, স্বায়ত্বশাসিত ও বেসরকারি (ঐচ্ছিক) প্রতিষ্ঠানে নিয়োগ, (খ) পাসপোর্ট প্রাপ্তি, (গ) বিভিন্ন ধরণের লাইসেন্স প্রাপ্তি , (ঘ) বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থাপনা (কেপিআই) ব্যবহার, ইত্যাদি ক্ষেত্রে।

৩। পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন এর আবেদন পত্রে প্রার্থীর কোন ঠিকানা (স্থায়ী/অস্থায়ী) দিতে হয়?

উত্তরঃ স্থায়ী ও অস্থায়ী উভয় ঠিকানাই দিতে হয়। স্থায়ী ঠিকানা বলতে বুঝায় প্রার্থীর নিজ নামীয়, পিতার নামীয় বা দাদার নামীয় বাড়িসহ যেকোনো ভূ-সম্পত্তি, যেখানে প্রার্থীর অধিকারসত্ত¡ এবং বসতবাড়ি রয়েছে। যে ভূ-সম্পত্তিতে প্রার্থীর অধিকারসত্ত¡ ও বসতবাড়ি নাই, এমন কোনো ঠিকানায় প্রার্থী বসবাস করলে তা অস্থায়ী ঠিকানা হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।

৪। পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশনের জন্য স্থায়ী ও অস্থায়ী ঠিকানা ব্যতীত অন্য কোনো ঠিকানা দিতে হয় কি?

উত্তরঃ স্থায়ী ও অস্থায়ী ঠিকানা ছাড়াও সাধারণত প্রার্থী বিগত ৫ বছর যেসব ঠিকানায় ৬ মাসের অধিক সময় অবস্থান করেছেন এবং প্রার্থী ১৫ বছর বয়স হতে যেসকল শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে অধ্যয়ন করেছেন বা যেসকল প্রতিষ্ঠানে কর্মরত ছিলেন ও অধ্যয়নকালীন বা কর্মরত থাকাকালীন সময়ে যেসব ঠিকানায় অবস্থান করেছেন, সেগুলোও উল্লেখ করতে হয়।

৫। পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশনের তদন্তের সময় প্রার্থীকে কি থানায় যেতে হয়, নাকি তদন্তকারী পুলিশ অফিসার প্রার্থীর ঠিকানায় তদন্ত করতে যাবেন?

উত্তরঃ পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশনের তদন্তের সময় প্রার্থীকে সাধারণত থানায় যেতে হয় না। কারণ, তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে প্রার্থীর উল্লিখিত ঠিকানা সমূহে সরজমিনে তদন্ত করে থাকেন। তবে, তদন্তকালে প্রার্থী যদি তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তার চাহিদামতে তাৎক্ষনিকভাবে কোনো প্রয়োজনীয় ডকুমেন্ট উপস্থাপন করতে ব্যর্থ হন, তাহলে পরবর্তিতে ঐ ডকুমেন্ট পৌঁছে দিতে আলোচনা সাপেক্ষে থানায় যেতে হতে পারে।

৬। পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন এর তদন্তের সময় প্রার্থীকে কি তদন্তকারী পুলিশ অফিসারের নিকট কোন ডকুমেন্ট (কি কি) দিতে হয়?

উত্তরঃ পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশনের তদন্তের সময় কোনো কোনো ক্ষেত্রে তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা প্রার্থীর নিকট হতে কতিপয় ডকুমেন্ট সংগ্রহ করতে পারেন। যেমন ঃ প্রার্থীর স্থায়ী ঠিকানার স্বপক্ষে সে বাড়ির দলিলের কপি বা বিদ্যুৎ বিল/গ্যাস বিল/ওয়াসার বিল/টেলিফোন বিল, ইত্যাদির কপি। এছাড়াও, প্রর্থীর ভি-রোলে (প্রার্থীর তথ্য সম্বলিত ফর্ম) যে সব তথ্য প্রদান করা হয়েছে, সেগুলোর যাচাই বা প্রমাণের জন্য সেগুলোর সমর্থনে প্রামানিক দলিলাদি।

৭। পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন শেষ হতে সর্বোচ্চ কতদিন সময় লাগে?

উত্তরঃ এটি নির্ভর করে সাধারণত কত জায়গায় ভেরিফিকেশন করতে হয় তার উপর। যদি একটি মাত্র পুলিশ ইউনিটের অধিক্ষেত্রের মধ্যে ভেরিফিকেশন করতে হয়, তাহলে সাধারণত ৩ (তিন) দিনের মধ্যেই তদন্ত সম্পন্ন করতে হয়। তবে, যদি প্রার্থীর স্থায়ী ও অস্থায়ী ঠিকানা ভিন্ন ভিন্ন জেলায় হয় এবং শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান বা চাকুরির প্রতিষ্ঠানও ভিন্ন ভিন্ন জেলায় হয়, সেক্ষেত্রে ১৫ (পনের) দিন বা তার বেশি সময়ও লাগতে পারে।

৮। পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন চলা কালে প্রর্থী যদি কোন প্রকার হয়রানীর শিকার হন সে ক্ষেত্রে প্রার্থী কোথায় অভিযোগ করতে পারবেন?

উত্তরঃ পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন চলাকালে প্রার্থী যদি তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা কর্তৃক কোনো প্রকার হয়রাণীর শিকার হন, সেক্ষেত্রে ঐ তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তার সরাসরি নিয়ন্ত্রনকারী কর্মকর্তার নিকট অথবা বিশেষ পুলিশ সুপার (ভিআর) বা অতিরিক্ত আইজিপি, স্পেশাল ব্রাঞ্চ, বাংলাদেশ পুলিশ, রাজারবাগ, ঢাকা বরাবর লিখিত বা মৌখিক অভিযোগ জানাতে পারেন।
