Over 150,000 students who cleared SSC have not applied for HSC admission. The authorities revealed the dropout data on June 10, 2016 after the end of the deadline to submit the applications for college admission.
Inter-Education Board Coordination Subcommittee College Inspector Md. Ashfaqus Salehin said that a little over 1.3 million students had submitted applications online or through SMS service until June 09, 2016 (Thursday) night.
“In my experience, over 100,000 students go somewhere else. Some of them drop out, some others go to polytechnic institutions”, he said. The college candidates this year applied for admission in 10 institutions online and in 10 more using mobile texts.
The list of students nominated for the colleges will be published on June 16, 2016. College admission will start on June 18 and end on June 22. Those on the waiting list will be able to get admission from June 23 to 30. Classes will start on July 10.
The students will also be able to get admission by submitting late fees from July 10 to 20. The subcommittee said in a notice that all the candidates will see their names on the main or waiting lists of colleges they have chosen.
The lists will be sent to the students through the mobile-phone numbers given in the application. The lists will also be available online and at the colleges.
HSC Admission Result 2016 will be announced on 16th June at www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd or our website.
