Jagannath University as a govt. financed full pledged public university of Bangladesh is situated in the southern part of the city of Dhaka near the Buriganga. The name Jagannath school was given by Kishorilal Chowdhury, the Zamindar of Baliadi who took over the school in 1872 and renamed it after his father’s name. In 1884, it was raised to a second grade college.

Former Government Jagannath College started 2005 under the name of Jagannath University with 20 departments under Four faculties (Faculty of Arts, Science, Business Education and Social Sciences).
Among them are Bangla, English, History, History and Culture of Islam, Islamic Studies, Philosophy Department; Department of Accounting and Management in the Faculty of Business Education; The Faculty of Science included Botany, Chemistry, Geography and Environment, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, Statistics and Zoology, and Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Sociology and Social Work.
Jagannath University admission test viva 2024-2025 will start on March 2025. Viva will be held at dean office of the Jagannath University. And the admission will be on April 2025 in a news conference it has been declaring by Publicity & Publication office of the University of (JU). All primary selection students must fill up the subject choose form with Child of Freedom fighter at Dean Office.

Jagannath University admission test viva of Unit E (Drama and Musical, Fine Arts and Graphics) will be held at old Business Studies building on April 2025, 10.00 am.
Candidates of Unit E have to prepare for practical examination that day. They must carry the practical exam materials with themselves.
Eligible candidates list for practical exam & viva (Dept. of Music)
All candidates must have attended the fixed day for choosing their subject. If any of candidates will not be attend timely, he/she will not be eligible for the viva test and admission. He/she will be lost the chance. And also relative or nobody can do that without real candidates. Selected candidates admission will be start on April 2025. If there have any free seat, then next merit list will be publishing.
