Artist Julius Dubose known professionally as A Boogie wit da Hoodie (or simply A Boogie), is an American rapper and singer. He is signed to Atlantic Records, as well as his own label imprint, Highbridge the Label. His stage name is derived from the character “Ace Boogie” from the 2002 film Paid in Full, and because he was wearing hoodies all the time, friends gave him the nickname “A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie”

Artist Julius Dubose was born on December 6, 1995, in Highbridge, Bronx in New York City. Dubose was raised in Highbridge and began rapping at age twelve after listening to Kanye West and 50 Cent. He attended Eagle Academy, where he expanded upon rapping during his freshman year. Growing up, Dubose frequently got into legal trouble, mainly for selling cannabis and narcotics. After finding out what he was doing, Dubose’s parents sent him to Florida as punishment. Dubose continued to focus on his music while working jobs in different sectors including construction and pizza delivery.

The very first album he released as in his debut album was The Bigger Artist in 2017. He has done many mixed tapes, studio albums and singles too. His album ‘Drowning’ placed at 38 on Billboard top 100. When A Boogie was just 19 years old, he released his debut song, “Temporary,” but it had some problems because it lacked some of the fundamental components of a good song.
After that, his producer put him in charge of a trainer who would teach him skills he could use in his music for his spectacular return. Later, in an attempt to hone his abilities even more before his recuperation, he relocated to New York.
