61 percent teachers of Madrasah don’t know Arabic Well. In Madrasa curriculum, more than half of the subjects in Arabic. These subjects also are read in Arabic. But 61 percent teachers of Madrasah don’t know Arabic well.
Almost 9 thousands Madrasah is continuing by inexperienced teachers. They don’t know Arabic well. They are not able to teach Arabic well to the madrasa students. That’s why overall impacts are going down in Madrasah Education.
A recent survey of Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) about Arabic Subject skill of Madrasa teacher, this information is came out.
Last Monday Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) was organized a workshop. In this workshop how to overcome weakness of Arabic skill has been discussed.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was present at the workshop. This workshop was launched by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid. Education Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan, Director General of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Department Professor Fahima Khatun & director of Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) were also present at this workshop.
More than half of the numbers of Dakhil, Alim & Fazil exam is under of Arabic Language & in Kamil exam out of 1 (one) subject all subjects are under of Arabic language. Yet Madrasah teachers are not well experienced about this Arabic language.

Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) was surveyed in total 92 Madrasah. This survey was run on total 186 teachers of Dakhil, Alim, and Fazil & Kamil Madrasah. Categories of Madrasah teachers are given below:-

Known that, there are total 9 Thousands & 341 Hundreds Madrasa which are belongs on MPO. In this there are 6 Thousands & 582 Hundreds Dakhil Madrasa, 1Thousand & 482 Hundreds Alim Madrasa, 1 Thousands & 55 Fazil Madrasah & 222 Hundreds Kamil Madrasah in our country. There are total 12 Lacs 69 Thousands & 948 Hundreds students are studying in these Madrasa. They are studying in class 6 to Masters Level.
In Dakhil exam total marks is 1300. In this 700 marks are in Arabic. In Alim exam 100 marks are more. In Fazil exam total compulsory marks is 800 & in this Arabic is 500. In Kamil exam total marks is 1000 & 900 is in Arabic.
In Kamil Madrasah, only 1% teachers are graduate in Arabic subject, in Dakhil Madrasah only 1% teachers are graduate in Arabic subject, in Alim Madrasa only 3% teachers are graduate in Arabic subject & in Fazil Madrasa only 2% teachers are graduate in Arabic subject. They complete 4 years Honours in Arabic.
In Dakhil Madrasah only 9% teachers are complete Masters in Arabic subject, in Alim Madrasah only 15% teachers are complete Masters in Arabic subject, in Fazil Madrasah only 5% teachers are complete Masters in Arabic subject & In Kamil Madrasa only 30% teachers are complete Masters in Arabic subject.
In all Madrasah of Bangladesh, maximum teachers are complete Fazil Degree. In Dakhil Madrasah 49% teachers is complete Fazil Degree, In Alim Madrasa 46% teachers are complete Fazil Degree, In Fazil Madrasah 57% teachers are complete Fazil Degree & In Kamil Madrasah 55% teachers are complete Fazil Degree.
Last year in Dakhil exam, passing percentage was 89.28% & in Alim exam, passing percentage was 94.09%. Last few years Fazil & Kamil exams passing percentage were over of 90%. In 2012 Fazil exam passing percentage was 96.82%. in 2010 Kamil exam passing percentage was 98.89%.
