Valerie’s Death
In 2009, Valerie Harper received a lung cancer diagnosis. On March 6, 2013, the actress was given the diagnosis of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare condition in which the meninges become infected with cancer cells. Harper battles for a longer amount of time, defying the doctors’ predictions that she would only live for three months.
