Sheikh Sharhan Naser Tonmoy popularly known as Sheikh Tonmoy is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the current Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-2 Constituency. Tonmoy’s father Sheikh Helal Uddin, Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-1 Constituency and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s cousin.
He is the grandson of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, first cousin once removed of Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, Sheikh Rehana and Sheikh Russell, and second cousin once removed of Sajeeb Wazed, Saima Wazed and Tulip Siddique.

Early Life
Born in 1987, Sheikh Tonmoy studied in Dhaka till third standard. Then he joined a boarding school in India. He came back to Dhaka again. Completed O Level and A Level. Go to India again in 2007. Returned to Dhaka in 2012. Then went to London for higher education. Returned to Dhaka in 2015 and got married. Wife Sheikh Ifrah Tonmoy. In 2017, Sheikh Sarhan Naser Taomoy officially joined politics by becoming a member of Bagerhat Municipal Awami League.
Education
He attended a residential school in India after studying till third in Dhaka. But later he did O level and A level in Dhaka. Bangladesh went to India in 2007 and returned to the country in 2012.
Professional Life
Sheikh Tonmoy started his career by working in a company in Singapore. Although he was born into a political family and did not become politically active until 2017, he joined the Bangladesh Awami League from the Bagerhat Municipal branch. This was his formal entry into politics. Tanmay was elected to parliament on 30 December 2018 from Bagerhat-2 constituency as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League.
291 representatives who won the election of the 11th National Parliament took oath as members of parliament. Through this, the 10th Parliament was abolished and the journey of the 11th National Parliament began. Sheikh Shahrhan Naser Tonmoy, known as Sheikh Tonmoy, said that the third generation of Bangabandhu’s family is like other members of the Father of the Nation’s family at any time.

Sheikh Taomoy is said to have tied the knot with Sheikh Ifar in 2015. Political harmony is associated with the Sheikh-Waze family. Tanmay’s grandfather Sheikh Abu Naser is the younger brother of Sheikh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Sheikh Helal Neta is Shekhar’s cousin.
