Biography
Rituparna Chakma was born on December 30, 2003 in a small village in the mountainous region of Rangamati, Bangladesh. Growing up in the natural beauty of Rangamati region, Rituparna’s childhood was full of wonder and curiosity. Many in the family love sports, but his interest in professional football developed from an early age. At that time, his love for football was born while playing football with the boys on the clay field of the village.
Rituparna’s journey to success in life was not easy at all. A career in football was not easy for a girl who grew up in a mountainous region. She often had to contend with social barriers, economic hardship and lack of infrastructure. Many times she had to face problems due to lack of necessary training facilities and adequate materials for playing. However, these obstacles could never break his spirit.
Career
In 2021, Chakma scored a brace against Sri Lanka at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the capital on Sunday. Ending the first half 3-0 up, Tahura Khatun and Shahada Akhtar Ripa scored twice for Bangladesh, while Chakma and captain Maria Manda supported them with a goal each. She was part of the team that won the 2022 SAFF Women’s Championship. Talk of the final is her incredible left-footed goal that put Bangladesh ahead 2-1. Personal life
Rituparna Chakma is a sportsperson who plays under the Bangladesh Football Federation. She is well known among women footballers for her dribbling and passing skills, which helped her become a regular member of the national age-group teams as well as the senior team. However, the 18-year-old is not only a good footballer but also plays a vital role in supporting his family since his father passed away in 2015.
He is known for his performances in the SAFF U-19 2021. Rituparna dedicated her brilliant goal against Pakistan to her younger brother, who died in a tragic accident in June. Since her father passed away in 2015, Rituparna Chakma has been playing a vital role in supporting her family.
After landing in Dhaka, Bangladesh’s golden girls were garlanded with flowers, paraded around the city in a specially-built open-top bus and cheered from the streets before thousands greeted them with sweets at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) headquarters.
