Following a redshirt year with the Sooners in 2010, Grissom saw action as a reserve defensive tackle in 2011 and 2012, recording nine total tackles and one tackle for loss. It was revealed on November 10, 2014, that Grissom has accepted his opportunity to play in the 2015 Senior Bowl. Grissom played in the Senior Bowl for Jacksonville Jaguars’ Gus Bradley’s South team on January 24, 2015, and aided on three tackles in their 34-13 loss. In Indianapolis, Indiana, he was one of 33 collegiate linebackers who attended the NFL Scouting Combine.
