About NASCAR at Kansas
Throwback weekend at Darlington Raceway brings back memories for generations of race fans, whether they have been fans of NASCAR for ten years or from the beginning. The first trip of the season to Darlington is one of the most eagerly awaited race weekends on the calendar and serves as NASCAR’s annual tribute to its past, a gesture that will resonate particularly in 2024 due to the sport’s 75th anniversary celebration.
In addition to a list of race day dignitaries that includes Dale Jarrett, Ricky Craven, Kurt Busch, and others, this weekend’s celebrations will recognize the 75 greatest drivers in NASCAR history. The focus of the celebration will be on the racetrack itself, where a large portion of the field for Sunday’s Goodyear 400 will be dressed in vintage paint jobs from throughout NASCAR’s history.
AdventHealth 400 Entry List
This weekend, NASCAR will have a Cup Series race and a Truck Series race at Kansas Motor Speedway. The AdventHealth 400, the first of two Kansas events for the circuit, will be run by the Cup Series. The second race happens during the first round of the playoffs and is called the Hollywood Casino 400.
At the AdventHealth 400, Kurt Busch is the defending champion, while Bubba Wallace won the Hollywood Casino 400 last October. Busch has stopped competing in the Cup on a regular basis and will not be racing this weekend.
Wallace has the same odds as Kyle Busch, who has two wins this season and is tied with Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Kyle Busch for the lead in victories. The only drivers who have won this race more than once are Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and Brad Keselowski. With +500 odds, Larson is the clear favorite to win the race on Sunday. Tyler Reddick and Byron are tied for second-best odds at +750. Keselowski is +2800 to win this race, while Hamlin is +800 to win it for the third time.
