Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) authorities decided to take combined admission test for SUST and JSTU for the first time after the University Grants Commission (UGC) approved the offer this year. The SUST authorities took groundwork too. But the decision cancelled for some causes. Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) authorities on 26th November 2013 cancelled the combined system in the face of strong opposition from a group of students under the banner ‘Conscious Sylhetis’, terming the combined test ‘discriminatory’.

Registrar Md Isfaqul Islam said, the decision had been taken at the meeting of university’s academic council on 15th August 2024, Wednesday. He also said that It is impossible for us to get a joint admission test same time.
